As July 30 marks the UN’s World Day Against Trafficking, Bianca Davis and I bust the big myths about the $150B Human Trafficking industry at a global and local level. You will learn how to be an ally on this issue as well as how to keep all our girls safe. Bianca Davis is a born and bred Bahamian who made her way to Philly and ultimately to Dallas to Stand For Her. Learn how she sustains herself to do this important work and how to get involved.

More about Bianca

Bianca Davis serves as the Chief Executive Officer of New Friends New Life (NFNL), a leading nonprofit agency in Dallas that restores and empowers women and girls who have been trafficked or exploited. She joined NFNL in August 2018 as the Chief Development Officer until her appointment to CEO in January 2021. Bianca describes herself as an optimistic servant leader who plants seeds and builds authentic relationships wherever she goes. Here life’s mission statement is to use her gifts and talents to inspire others into action. Bianca has a combined 20 years of experience in healthcare communications and social services. Prior to joining NFNL, she served as senior director of fund and community development for a local domestic violence recovery agency, after serving as communications manager for Medical City Dallas Hospital where she spent nine years leading community engagement, internal campaigns, and shaping the organizational culture. Bianca has expertise in public speaking, PR, and fundraising with a master’s degree in management and organizational communications from Dallas Baptist University and a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Temple University.

  • Get involved. Contribute financially. Join an auxiliary group. Volunteer. And follow through.
  • When it comes to protecting the girls in our lives, pay attention to typical safety things (e.g. walk in groups, don’t go through dark allies, etc.), but also pay special attention to their online relationships and their actual relationships, realizing it could be a friend or a boyfriend that is targeting them or putting them in harm’s way.
